　　该酒店是世界上惟一的建筑高度最高的七星级酒店,于1994年建成，其中仅外壳及填海的费用就高达11亿美元，整个酒店含有26吨黄金，高300多米，共27层。开业于1999年12月，它建在离海岸线280米处的人工岛Jumeirah Beach Resort上。导游告诉记者：“它有202套房，都是复式。房间最小的170平米，最大的是总统套房,780平米，设在酒店的第 25层，其中设有一个电影院、两间卧室、两间起居室和一个餐厅，其出入都有专用电梯，墙上挂的画则全是真迹。每进入房间，都有一个管家会为你解释房内各项高科技设施如何使用。最小的房间的每天住宿费为1500美金，而总统套房的每天住宿费高达2万多美金。”大家兴致勃勃地来这里自助午餐，才知道每人需要800多人民币，一瓶啤酒就要300多元人民币，贵得惊人。

　　帆船饭店由英国设计师W．S．Atkins设计，外观如同一张鼓满了风的帆，一共有56层、321米高，是全球最高的饭店，比法国艾菲尔铁塔还高上一截。由于酒店是以帆为外观造型，因此饭店到处都是与水有关的主题。一进饭店门的两大喷水，不时有不同的喷水方式，每一种皆经过精心设计，约15～20分钟就换一种喷法。
